Hi

I had a customer ask, what third party scheduler are your customers using? They are currently using Tidal, but are considering switching. Tidal has changed their licensing model and in their opinion, are now becoming cost prohibitive. The internal, limited built in scheduler is not a consideration. This is a 9.2 customer.

We use Robot: https://www.fortra.com/products/job-scheduling-software-ibm-i
It talks a lot about IBM, but we also use it to schedule things outside of JDE (SSIS packages...).
The one thing it doesn't do is let you schedule a REST service, so we can't use it instead of the AIS scheduler to run orchestrations. I don't know if we could wrap the rest service up in a way that you could schedule it anyway and we haven't really tried.

You can try Automat previously known as Skybot scheduler. No issues and better product. Have been using with 9.1 for last 6 years and moving on to 9.2.

Hi Gregg, You can check out Smart Scheduler - https://smartscheduler.co/

We are using OpCon from SMA technologies. Does our job well but still have to rely on the decades old RUNUBE to call jobs.
